Commercial Video Production – Rates and Cost

When a prospective client approaches us with a project idea, the first thing they want to know is how much it’s going to cost.   And they are often turned off by the answer.  The answer is usually in the form of a question: what exactly do you want?

Believe me, this is not a sales tactic.  It is a genuine question to determine a fair market price for your project.  If you call a contractor in for a quote to remodel your kitchen, one of the things he would want to know is if you want granite countertops or laminate countertops.  Those two products range greatly in price.   You can’t say you want granite countertops and expect to pay the price of the laminate countertops.  Nor will any reputable contractor charge you for granite and install laminate.

Another thing to consider:  Your one-of-a-kind product.  A few production companies offer pre-produced commercials that your logo and information is added to.  But the majority of videos produced are hand-made one-of-a-kind.  No other business is going to have a video just like yours.  That’s what we do:  videos unique to your business that none of your competitors will have.  It’s like having a work of art that no one else in the world has.  And we do it from scratch.  We start with a blank canvas, an idea.  A camera as our paintbrush.  And the editing program is our palette.  Our palette has a variety of options that make your video unique.

Because we are in this business to best serve our clients, we aren’t interested in offering you the cheapest services just to make a quick buck.  We are interested in providing you with a service to help grow your business.  If our solutions don’t meet your goals, we have failed you, and that does not make us sleep well at night.

So, if you ever ask me what a video would cost, don’t think my response is a sales tactic.  I’m not a sales person.  I will always be honest with you, give you my professional opinion, and let you decide what is best for your business.
