This week we were tasked with photographing the corporate headshots for a great group of employees to be used for their company images. We are often given an image that must be emulated because the company has offices around the country and the world. This means that our photos need to closely match the look and style of those taken by another photographer at a different time. This is a fun and challenging job because we have to look at the example, evaluate the lighting set-up, and then reproduce it with acceptable results. This time we were able to recreate it with a simple white background, only 1 speed light in an umbrella softbox, and a reflector.
